Tom is a professional urchin diver and has explored our shore line reefs and off shore islands in depth. Tom has lived in an era where the commercial urchin industry was conceived and can trace its history to the present. Because of his unique experiences, Tom has written a book about his career and it how he jumped at the chance to find new surfing spots and discovered a fortune awaiting the adventurous diver.

Tom now resides in Northern California and will give us his first hand report of his travels from Santa Barbara to the Channel Islands and North to the Farallon Islands. He will bring several copies of his book, “Blue Water Gold Rush,” with him and they will be for sale for approximately $17.00 each. If you love diving along our West Coast and have had some surfing experience, then this is a book you will really enjoy. Many of the locations he has dived and surfed at are very familiar to us, but he will tell you tales about some these places you won’t soon forget.
